all about baby oil

Little t. took a bath with E.
Little t. couldn't find the shampoo (Mom was switching laundry in the other room).
Little t. peruses through the contents under the sink.
Little t. finds a clear bottle with a cute teddy bear label.
Little t. dumps most of the clear substance on his & little sister's hair.
Two days later... I have two slippery children with super shiny hair. E. has rashes under her eyes from rubbing at the oil.

Things here are snowy & greasy& never dull!

all about science to a 10-year-old

Big T. researching his "science experiment." This kind of stuff brings a smile to Dad's face!

all about helping hands and feet

This is what happens when I leave little T. alone for a couple of minutes.
He wants to help.
Thanks little T. for the "hughnormus" pancake and the Nestle Quik .
Although I hate messes, I can't help but love that cute little footprint!

all about beloved blankies

This was the scene at our house before we went to church.
While E. was taking a bath, I secretly whisked away her beloved blankie and threw it in the washer. I didn't want her to drag it to church, with the stains, smells, and boogars attached. Well, shortly after getting out of the tub she went in search for her beloved.
And she found it.
There was much lamenting!

all about "putting your shoulder to the wheel"

I have been trying to incorporate whole wheat into our diets.
The boys love competing against each other to see who can make the most flour. It's a win-win situation.
They are exercising, working, and eating whole wheat.
The Little Red Hen would be proud.
Now, if I can figure out what to do with the wheat grass I'm growing? The boys like to see it grow, but I don't think they're going to like green juice. Any suggestions?

all about the twinkle in his eyes

It's basketball season for big T. and C.
C. loves sports, anything sports, everything sports, he loves sports! He gets this certain look on his face and a twinkle in his eyes when he is playing sports. He had this same look on his face this morning after winning their first game of the season. T. and his team also won their game this morning 42 to 11 & I think that T. made 14 or more points. He kind of gets that same twinkle. For C., sports=happiness.

all about forts

This post is about forts with an "o", not with an "a." However, I could write a lengthy column on forts with an "a."
Alright, enough of that.
My children rearrange furniture more than I do. My children rearrange furniture more than my Mother does! All for the love of forts. E. and little T. especially like to build their forts while the big brothers are at school, then there is no fighting over who gets what cushion and what corner.

Hope your fort is a happy one!

Remember, that's with an "o."

all about watching football

The boys love this pic because they are on tv, which means that they are definitely famous!
Big T. has loved playing tackle football. C. can't wait to play next season.
They really enjoy playing & watching football just like their Dad.
Their most memorable game was in November. Josh took them and Grandpa to see the Broncos take on the Raiders.

all about amoxicillin

E. is finally feeling better. On New Year's Eve I took her to the Doc. She had two ear infections & a nasty cough. Of course I waited for an hour to see the Doc. He took 2 minutes with us and prescribed, I bet you can guess, yes, amoxicillin. Oh, if I could only grow the stuff in my garden & bottle it during harvest.
I could totally be a doc. "You look sick, I'll prescribe you some amoxicillin with my crappy handwriting. That will be a few hundred dollars."
It's a creepy form of dejavu every time we go to the Doc.

all about flying

This is the boys' favorite winter pastime. Last year the snow was a good foot higher than the trampoline! This pic was taken last week. The past couple of days we've had rain!?! Our snow has shrunk by a good foot.
Apparently I like to say "good foot."
I live in the country and my vocabulary proves it!
