a resemblance perhaps

Looking through old pics the other night, B thought this one was pretty funny.
I was in 3rd grade...B is in 1st.

feeling nostalgic

I remember T's first talk in Primary like it was yesterday.
Yesterday has turned into today..
T gave his last talk in Primary, today.
He will be ordained a deacon next Sunday.
I'm proud of my little guy, who isn't so little anymore.
P.S.  Today was also my last day in Primary.
They released me from the presidency & now I am the Cubmaster.

seeing white

This is what the snowbank in our driveway
looked like 2 years ago...
most of our front window
was covered by a snow bank.
Pure craziness!
Guess I shouldn't be complaining this year.

While our cousins in Vegas are swimming in their pool,
we are cross-country skiing around our pool
a.k.a. horse trough.

Have you ever heard the song-Springtime in Alaska?

If you haven't, here's the link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVK-PlfvGR0&feature=related
I couldn't help but sing that song while I was looking at these pictures...not the whole song, mind you.  There is just one line that comes to mind..."when it's springtime in Alaska it's 40 below."  I know, I know, we don't live in Alaska, but sometimes I wonder.

This is our spring.
People in other parts of the nation are excited to see crocuses sprouting...
...we're excited to see the road!
Happy Spring Everyone!

It was nice growing up with someone like you - someone to lean on, someone to count on... someone to tell on!

my latest creation

On a recent trip to my favorite store (D.I.), I found a shirt that I loved.
I transformed it into a cute dress for E, with the leftover fabric for hairbows.
I love repurposing.

whiskers on kittens & warm woolen mittens

Our poor cat Gingey is M.I.A.
Darn coyotes...little animals don't last long out here in the country.
It's a good thing there are a plethora of country cats to be had.
Some people even give cats in lieu of candy for Halloween.
I'm not a big cat-lover, but Gingey was my favorite.
