Ol' T was asked if he wanted to go float down the river with a buddy, today. I wasn't going to let him because of General Conference & the Priesthood Meeting. As with all of the difficult decisions, I sent him to ask his father. I thought Josh would back me up on this one. Josh says, "Sure! But you have to be home for the Priesthood Session."
To my surprise, I listened as T explained on the phone to his buddy that he wouldn't be floating down the river with him.
I let T know how pleased I was with his decision. This is what he said:
"Mom, if you give me a choice, I will almost always choose the right one. When you don't give me a choice, it makes me want to choose the wrong one."
Another lesson taught to me by my son. Kind of a surreal moment for me to hear my baby say that. I know, he's almost a teen, but he'll always be my baby.
I'm thankful for the lessons my children teach me daily.

Pretty profound advice from a 12 year old!! I need to remember that one!!
